The short version
- We collect nothing. AliMedia Saver has no servers, no accounts, no sign-up and no analytics. Nothing you do in the extension is sent to us.
- Everything stays on your computer. Your settings and any watermark logo you upload are stored locally in your browser. Downloaded images and videos go straight to your Downloads folder.
- The only network requests are to AliExpress and Alibaba — the same servers your browser already contacted to display the page you are on.
01Scope
This policy explains how the AliMedia Saver browser extension (“the extension”, “we”) handles information. It applies only to the extension distributed through the Chrome Web Store. It does not cover AliExpress, Alibaba, or any other website you visit — those services have their own privacy policies.
02Information we collect
Specifically, we do not collect:
- Personally identifiable information — name, address, email address, age or ID numbers
- Health, financial or payment information
- Authentication information — passwords, credentials, cookies or security tokens
- Personal communications — email, messages or chat contents
- Location data
- Browsing or web history
- User activity, clicks, keystrokes or analytics of any kind
- Website content beyond the product media you explicitly choose to download
The extension contains no analytics SDK, no tracking pixel, no crash reporter and no advertising library. We operate no server that receives data from it.
03What is stored on your device
The extension uses your browser’s local storage (chrome.storage.local) to remember your own preferences between sessions. This data never leaves your computer and is not readable by us.

Removing the extension from Chrome deletes all of it. You can also clear it at any time using “Reset to defaults” on the extension’s settings page.
04Network connections
The extension makes network requests only to the marketplace domains listed below, and only to retrieve the media you have asked to download. Files are processed in your browser and written directly to your Downloads folder — no image or video is ever uploaded to us or to any third party.

05Permissions
Chrome requires the extension to declare the capabilities it uses. Each one exists solely to support downloading product media:

| tabs | Checks whether the tab you are viewing is a supported product page and passes the download request to it. Tab data is not recorded or transmitted. |
| host permissions | Limited to the marketplace domains in section 04. The extension does not run on any other site. |
06Affiliate links
The extension is free. To help cover its development, it may open an AliExpress or Alibaba affiliate link in a background tab when you use the main download buttons, at most once every ten minutes per site. If you go on to make a purchase, we may receive a small commission from the marketplace at no additional cost to you.
This does not involve sharing any information about you with us or with the marketplace beyond what your browser normally sends when visiting a link. No identifier is attached to you, and the extension does not track what you buy.
07Third parties
We do not sell, rent, trade or transfer user data to anyone, because we do not hold any. We use no third-party analytics, advertising or data-processing services. We do not use or transfer data for purposes unrelated to the extension’s single purpose, and we do not use any data to build or improve generalised AI or machine-learning models.
08Chrome Web Store Limited Use disclosure
AliMedia Saver’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
09Your content and copyright
The extension is a tool for saving media that a marketplace has already published on a page you are viewing. You are responsible for how you use the files you download, including complying with the terms of the marketplace and with the intellectual property rights of sellers and photographers.
10Children
The extension is a business and shopping tool intended for adults. It is not directed at children, and because it collects no data, it does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
11Changes to this policy
If the extension’s data practices ever change, this page will be updated and the “Last updated” date at the top revised. Material changes will also be noted in the extension’s Chrome Web Store listing. Continuing to use the extension after an update means you accept the revised policy.
